Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Research Assistant to join our team at the Teacher Education Centre. This is a full-time position based on a fixed-term contract until 31 January 2028.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and evaluate Open Educational Resources (OER) using game-based learning in democracy education.
* Establish a Community of Practice for European teachers to work together on OER.
* Foster connections within the EU project TaCT-FoRSED and participate in project partners'work packages.
* Support the Teacher Education Centre's Teaching Innovation Department in its work and collaborate on OER projects.
* Collaborate with the Chair of Political Science (Professor Oliver Hidalgo) and the Chair of the Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany and Political Education (Professor Inken Heldt).
Person Specification:
* A very good university master's degree (or equivalent) in political education, educational science, psychology, or a German teacher education qualification (Lehramt) for 'Gymnasium' secondary schools.
* A focus on political science is preferred for teacher education qualifications.
* Ideal candidates should have a doctorate.
* Knowledge in game-based learning, open educational resources, designing teaching and learning processes with digital media, and qualitative and quantitative empirical research methods.
