Graduate Research Assistant
This is a full-time position, based on a fixed-term contract until 31 January 2028.
The position is part of the EU Horizon project âTaCT-FoRSED â Tackling Conspiracy Theories by Fostering Resilience and Political Self-Efficacy in Democraciesâ. The research project aims to develop open educational resources (OER) based on the pedagogical framework of game-based learning. It is theoretically positioned at the intersection of political media education and democracy education.
Develop, test and evaluate OER making use of game-based learning in the field of democracy education
Foster connections within the EU project TaCT-FoRSED and participate in project partnersâwork packages
Support the Teacher Education Centreâs Teaching Innovation Department in its work and collaborate on the Teacher Education Centreâs OER projects
In terms of content, collaborate with the Chair of Political Science (Professor Oliver Hidalgo) and the Chair of the Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany and Political Education (Professor Inken Heldt)
Candidates must have a very good university masterâs degree (or equivalent), e.g. inpolitical education, educational science, psychology; or a German teacher education qualification (Lehramt) for âGymnasiumâ secondary schools (1st or 2nd state examination); furthermore, a German teacher education qualification (Lehramt) for the other school typesis admissible if the 2nd state examination has been passed. In the case of teacher education qualifications, a focus on political science is preferred.
Knowledge in the field of game-based learning
Experience in designing teaching and learning processes with digital media
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative empirical research methods
