* Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Mechanical Engineers
* Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set development goals for team members
* Coordinate with other departments to integrate systems effectively and resolve cross-functional issues.
* Review design documents, including drawings, BOM's, GD&T, schematics, risk assessments and other deliverables of the department.
* Ensure engineering budgets of the projects are adhered to.
* Determine design solutions for machinery and machine parts and generate equipment drawings for manufacturing
* Definition of purchase parts and creation of technical specifications
* Perform design reviews internally and with the customer and obtain approvals
* GD&T (Dimensioning and Detailing)
* Perform risk assessments in machine safety
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Several years of experience in mechanical engineering.
* Proven track record in designing and implementing automated special machinery.
* Proficient in Solidworks and other engineering tools and software.
* Strong knowledge of special automation machinery design and GD&T
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical leadership.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* This position is based in the office, with occasional site visits to project locations as required.
* Some travel may be necessary for client meetings, project installations, and industry events
