The Position Step into an exciting new opportunity with Boehringer Ingelheim, where you will play a pivotal role in our new tax operating model focusing on a globally centralized tax compliance set-up. Working closely with Global Business Services (GBS) and an external service provider, you will be the primary person responsible for managing all relevant tax compliance topics for our dedicated local operating units. Tasks & responsibilities You are accountable for the correct handling of all tax compliance matters and for all different types of taxes that apply for Boehringer Ingelheim for dedicated operating units (especially CIT, VAT, WHT, Tax Accounting, etc.). In order to ensure tax compliance, you provide concepts and guiding principles to different stakeholders for all countries in line with strategic targets.In addition, you are responsible for steering all external and internal partners involved as well as manage all interactions with local tax authorities. You actively manage all activities related to tax compliance matters for diverse countries. This includes all relevant tax types applicable in Boehringer Ingelheim countries with respective local requirements. In particular, you actively manage local tax audits in dedicated countries in alignment with Boehringer Ingelheim’s global tax set-up. You are accountable to ensure a robust defense position for future local tax audits for dedicated countries in alignment with Boehringer Ingelheim’s global tax audit strategy.Also, you are responsible of keeping track of relevant global and local tax law changes and their impact for the Boehringer Ingelheim group. In order to ensure tax compliance within the Boehringer Ingelheim group you align with the Global Business Service (GBS) function on relevant tax law changes on a regular basis and advice the GBS function in translating relevant tax law changes into new/ amended processes within the GBS organization. Together with Corporate Tax you manage various interface topics. This includes handling of local information requests and timely provision of required technical and factual tax input.Requirements Diploma/University degree with focus on Business Administration/ Law/ Economics or comparable major, ideally specialized in Tax or Certified German Tax Advisor or equivalent international educationProven relevant tax experience in-house or as consultantBroad tax technical knowledge including international taxation, tax procedural law and transfer pricingExperience in working on international tax matters and knowledge about tax operations and guiding principles for tax complianceGood organization, communication, and management skillsHands-on mentality, solution-oriented and experience working cross-culturally with diverse colleaguesFluent in English, basic German desirableReady to contact us?
