Job Description
A highly regarded international construction and engineering company is expanding its project management team in Germany. Specializing in large-scale, high-tech, and complex construction projects, this company is seeking a Project Director to oversee the delivery of Life Science projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Life Science construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring strong stakeholder alignment.
* Manage procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations for highly technical builds.
* Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and cleanroom standards (ISO 14644, BREEAM, LEED, etc.).
* Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive problem-solving strategies.
* Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining high-quality standards throughout construction.
* Provide strategic leadership in driving innovation, sustainability, and value engineering within Life Science projects.
Requirements for the Role:
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in project management for Life Science, Pharma, or High-Tech facilities within Germany.
* Fluent in German and English (C1 minimum) – written and spoken.
* Proven experience managing large-scale, high-value construction projects in Germany.
* Strong leadership, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills.
