Who will you be joining?
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join Allianz SE, an international insurance and asset management company, as the Head of Anti-Money-Laundering team within the Anti-Financial-Crime unit of Global Compliance (AFC). This role will be based in Munich at the holding company level and will be responsible for overseeing the AML team.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
* Implement and further develop a group-wide AML framework, managing related AML risks across the organization, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws
* Oversee the AML team, ensuring effective management of AML compliance
* Implement and further develop a comprehensive group-wide AML framework that aligns with applicable laws and enables the AFC department to effectively manage AML risks across the organization
* Collaborate with regional and local AML teams to ensure consistent implementation of AML policies and procedures across all jurisdictions where the company operates
* Act as a subject matter expert on AML compliance, keeping abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure the company's AML framework remain robust and effective
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including the management of external stakeholders such as regulators, industry forums, and other parties on matters related to AML compliance
What are you made of?
* A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or Criminal Justice or a related field
* 10 + years of experience in in compliance, risk management, or a related area, with significant expertise in AML being essential.
* Proven experience in Compliance
* Anti-Financial-Crime and i.e. AML matters ideally within the insurance, banking or audit / consulting industry
* Compliance certifications to demonstrate your educational background are a plus
* A strong understanding of Governance frameworks, complex process landscapes and the interaction with technology and business departments are fundamental
* Proficiency in English is essential, and additional language skills are advantageous
