Position Overview
The Project Manager in Electrical Engineering (Technical Building Equipment - TGA) is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of electrical engineering projects within the scope of technical building services. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Planning and Management
o Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
o Coordinate and oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
o Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
o Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Technical Expertise
o Provide technical guidance and support in the design and implementation of electrical systems.
o Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
o Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies.
* Stakeholder Coordination
o Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
o Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
o Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
* Quality and Safety Assurance
o Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
o Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
o Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Financial Management
o Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates and financial reports.
o Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are completed within budget.
o Approve invoices and manage payments to contractors and suppliers.
* Documentation and Reporting
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
o Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
o Ensure all project records are archived appropriately upon project completion.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education and Experience
o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the field of electrical engineering, preferably in TGA.
o Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical engineering projects.
* Technical Skills
o Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
o Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
o Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
