Job Overview: The Europe Decarbonization Sales Director for GE Digital's Software's Power Energy and Resources Commercial Team (PERS) is pivotal in driving our mission to electrify and decarbonize the world. This role is responsible for the sales of our decarbonization solutions, ensuring the attainment of revenue and growth targets across the Europe. Launch New Energy Transition Software: Focus on introducing innovative software offerings like CERius, designed to help customers collect, monitor, and monetize their emissions while optimizing their path to Net Zero. Identify Sales Opportunities: Develop strategies to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities within existing and new accounts.Drive Prospecting and Strategy: Lead prospecting efforts, strategy and account planning, executive relationship development, and discovery assessments. Collaborate for Growth: Work closely with colleagues to drive and lead growth in software sales and value-driven revenue generation. Develop Decarbonization Vision: Create and develop an overall decarbonization sales readiness vision for the territory. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities: - Understand Client Goals: Work with clients and prospects to understand their decarbonization and sustainability goals and frameworks. Represent the GE Vernova brand with a humble approach to identify client needs and provide solutions that enhance decarbonization activities and projects. - Build Trust and Partnerships: Earn customer trust through value-driven engagements and solid execution, establishing win/win partnerships and deepening relationships. - Follow Sales Processes: Learn and adhere to existing sales processes to articulate specific sales strategies effectively. - Discovery and Categorization: Use discovery processes, including outcome mapping and whiteboarding, to identify and categorize potential customers for sustainability solutions. - Lead Solution Design: Conduct solution design workshops with clients to tailor offerings to their needs. - Differentiate Solutions: Professionally differentiate our solutions in the developing market of decarbonization software solutions. - Collaborate with Partners: Work within the decarbonization software ecosystem of partners to convey value, find complementary approaches to satisfy customer requirements, and develop business. - Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed targets by closing deals, building, and maintaining the required sales pipeline for the territory. - Develop Business Cases: Collaborate with the commercial team to develop business and value cases for key accounts. - Formulate Winning Proposals: Create winning proposals with commercial operations and leadership based on a cohesive strategy that leverages industry knowledge, discovery content, and GE Digital products. - Maintain Plans: Complete and maintain opportunity plans and account plans, organizing research and hypotheses/learnings per account for opportunities and accounts within the territory. - Ensure Professional Sales Experience: Provide a professional sales experience for customers during all aspects of the sales process, including formal meeting agendas, written and prompt meeting follow-ups, and timely issue resolution. - Maintain CRM Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of all information pertaining to opportunities, contacts, and clients in the SFDC CRM system. - Travel Requirements: Expect to travel to customer locations and GE offices a minimum of 50% of the time to fulfill duties. - Report to Leadership: Report to the Europe Commercial Leader, part of the global PG-OGPERS commercial team, which includes solution architects, partner alliance managers, sales operations, industry principals, and other sales colleagues. Required Qualifications: - Education : Bachelor's degree in business, STEM, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. - Experience : Minimum of 6 years' experience working with industrial companies in consulting or customer-facing roles. - Industry Expertise : Experience in the decarbonization and energy transition industry. - ESG Experience : Work experience related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting or project work. - Solutions Knowledge : Knowledge of decarbonization or sustainability solutions. Desired Characteristics: - Passion for the Environment : Demonstrated passion for the environment and clear thoughts on how you can contribute to the energy transition. - Motivation and Vision : Clear motivation and vision on how to lead customers on their Net Zero journey. - European Climate Mechanisms : Previous knowledge and experience helping customers with CSRD, CBAM, or other European-specific climate mechanisms. - Carbon Accounting : Work experience in carbon accounting, familiar with Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI), and others. - Sales Success : Proven track record of sales success, with enterprise account management being a plus. - Consultative Sales Approach : Experience with a consultative sales approach. - High Energy and Participatory Style : High energy, participatory style, engaging with internal stakeholders to win as a team. - Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across multiple organizational levels. - Fast Learner : Willingness to learn the complete GE Vernova portfolio and offerings. - Integrity and Professional Standards : Strong personal integrity and professional standards. - Resource Identification : Ability to identify and prioritize critical resources needed to further the sales effort, negotiating with all client and internal stakeholders. - Preferred Education : Master's/Graduate degree preferred, with a specialty in Environmental, Engineering, or Sustainability being a plus. - Language Skills : Fluency in verbal and written English.
