Your tasks
* You design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for our national energy data platform
* You collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust software solutions
* You implement RESTful APIs to enable seamless data integration and communication between services
* You ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
* You write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards
* You participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
* You debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and stability
* You contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
* You stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our platform
Your profile
* You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* You have at least 4 years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on microservices architecture
* Strong proficiency in Java development, including frameworks such as Spring Boot
* You have experience with RESTful API design and development
* Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling
* Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
* Agile mindset, strong communication skills and team player mentality, as well as enjoy building knowledge and developing talent
* You are result-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for details
* You are able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
* Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. The knowledge of German and/or French is considered an asset
