Mission
The Principal Solution Architect acts as a trusted advisor, partnering with customers and internal Siemens business unit stakeholders to design and implement Industrial IoT (IIoT) and product integration services that align with their strategic goals. This role is rooted in providing expert guidance to ensure technology solutions are tailored to specific requirements, driving measurable business outcomes. By bridging the gap between business objectives and technological innovation, the Principal Solution Architect empowers customers to enhance operational efficiency and realize value through customized, outcome-focused architectures, all while fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
As a direct connect from Advanta to the Siemens Xcelerator product strategy and portfolio, you will be strategically aligning the architecture requirements to smoothly integrate the Siemens product portfolio and enable the X Partner Ecosystem.
Areas of Responsibility
* Strategic Planning and Alignment
o Guide alignment efforts with several products to achieve a feasible integration architecture blueprint overall.
o Develop and sustain a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the customer’s business objectives and unique requirements, ensuring solutions that drive meaningful and mutually beneficial outcomes.
o Create and implement IIoT and product integration strategies that support Siemens’ long-term vision and customer success.
o Collaborate with senior management and customers to define and prioritize technology initiatives that drive business outcomes.
* Architecture Design and Implementation
o Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient IIoT architectures tailored to Siemens’ customer needs.
o Ensure seamless integration of IIoT solutions with existing Siemens products and services, focusing on delivering measurable business outcomes.
o Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines that are adaptable to various customer environments.
* Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
o Representation into several architecture initiatives of Siemens overall and alignment on CTO level globally.
o Mentoring and coaching the ADV solution architect community worldwide and provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
o Working with Siemens Vertical Markets leads and teams to understand prioritized use cases and solution requirements.
o Working with Siemens X Partners to include their hardware and software products in a packaged solution.
o Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
* Innovation and Continuous Improvement
o Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in IIoT and integration technologies.
o Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in Siemens’ technology landscape and customer solutions.
o Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies and best practices that enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
* Security and Compliance
o Ensure that IIoT solutions and integrations comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
o Develop and implement security strategies to protect IIoT devices and data from cyber threats, tailored to customer environments.
o Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and protection.
Qualifications
* Education and Experience
o Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
o Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on IIoT and product integration services.
o Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation of complex IT solutions, with a focus on customer-specific requirements.
* Technical Skills
o Deep understanding of IIoT technologies, integration platforms, and architectural frameworks.
o Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient IIoT architectures tailored to customer needs.
o Strong knowledge of security standards and best practices for IIoT and integration services.
* Soft Skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams.
o Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
o Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering business outcomes.
* Certifications
o Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS / Microsoft Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
