Family Advocacy Program Assistant (FAPA) WJM Professional Services is recruiting for a Family Advocacy Assistant at the Spangdahlem US Air Force Base. The FAPA is a member of the multidisciplinary FAP team and is responsible for providing administrative, technical, and prevention services. Administratively, the FAPA is accountable for the maintenance of automated data collection systems, including the FAPNet. FAPAs may enter information during the CCS in the clinical impressions text box regarding clinical discussions and recommendations, much like taking minutes for the meeting. Provide prevention services, briefings, educational presentations, and activities targeted to installation leadership, active duty and family members, community, and base agencies. The FAPA shall provide administrative and computer support to The Maltreatment Intervention, NPSP, and Outreach components via FAPNet, and other software programs, as well as managing computer resources. Responsibilities for the Family Advocacy Assistant are as follows: The FAPA shall ensure that maltreatment data is entered into FAPNet within 15 calendar days after the CCS. FAPAs shall not enter clinical data into FAPNet, treatment providers are responsible for entering clinical data. The FAPA, in conjunction with the FAO, shall manage data to provide information regarding patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures. The FAPA shall compile statistical data, prepare minutes, agendas, and notification letters IAW FAP Standards, and other written communication as requested by the FAO. The FAPA shall assist in the research and evaluation program by administering data collection assessment instruments to individuals referred to the FAP. The FAPA shall process and score instruments initially and on a follow-up basis as specified by the FAO or AF FAP. The FAPA shall assist the FAOM and FAIS in administering, scoring, and maintaining secondary prevention program measurement instruments in support of the Outreach Program. The FAPA shall work in collaboration with the prevention team to: Provide supportive services to NPSP clients under the oversight of the NPSP case manager. The FAPA may accompany a FAN, FATM, FAIS, and FAO to a home visit upon occasion. Assist the FAOM and FAIS with scheduling and preparation for the OPMC and will record and finalize OPMC minutes. Community prevention activities shall be coordinated with the FAO and the FAOM/FAIS. In the absence of a FAOM or FAIS, the FAPA may provide orientation and annual training to Squadron Commanders and First Sergeants as directed by the FAO. The FAPA shall not provide Special Needs Identification and Assignment Coordination Services (formerly EFMP services), to include administrative support or relocation clearances. When a FAPA has direct contact with Family Advocacy maltreatment clients or clients with open NPSP records, a note will be made in the record within 72 hours of client contact and reviewed by a provider to determine if co-signature is required. FAPAs shall not conduct intake interviews with FAP clients. When a FAPA has contact with NPSP clients, a contact note shall be created in the ‘contact notes’ section in the NPSP module in FAPNet.
