Spark Networks, a leading global dating company with a portfolio that includes JDate and Christian Mingle, is looking to hire a Product Manager: Monetization to support the development and optimization of our monetization strategy. This role will focus on enhancing both free and paid user experiences, identifying new monetization opportunities, and ensuring a trust-building customer experience across all platforms. The Product Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality features, improving operational workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and user satisfaction.
This role is a full-time position based in Berlin.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a results-oriented Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about building seamless user experiences, excels at cross-functional coordination, and has a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
The background of a successful candidate will include:
* Strong Product Management Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with the end-to-end product lifecycle, including discovery, definition, execution, and post-launch optimization.
* Experience in Monetization Strategies: Practical knowledge of monetization models with a proven ability to enhance both free and paid user experiences.
* Proven experience with Agile methodologies: Solid experience working with Agile product delivery, including creating user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and sprint planning.
* Collaboration & Communication: Experience working effectively with engineering, QA, UX/UI design, marketing, and customer care teams.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled at leveraging analytics and insights to prioritize features, measure success, and make informed product decisions. Knowledge of data tools such as Snowflake, Sigma, or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
* Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to understand user pain points and design solutions that enhance the overall experience.
* Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with mobile apps, consumer-facing products, and working with third-party vendors.
What You'll Do
* Contribute to defining and optimizing features that improve free and paid user experiences, with a focus on new monetization opportunities and revenue growth.
* Manage the product lifecycle with a focus on monetization features, including defining features, writing clear specifications, and supporting releases in an Agile environment.
* Work closely with the other product managers to align the product roadmap with business objectives and key results.
* Partner with engineering, QA, and UX/UI design teams to clarify requirements, resolve roadblocks, and ensure seamless execution within Agile processes.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
* Use data insights to identify opportunities for growth, drive experiments, and continuously refine product offerings.
* Conduct A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate on product features to optimize performance and user engagement.
