We are seeking an enthusiastic Customer Data Manager (f/m/d) to join our Global Customer Engagement team at HUGO BOSS. In this role, you will serve as the central liaison between our business, IT, data security, and legal departments, ensuring compliance and data integrity. You will oversee the documentation and legal framework of customer data flows, while coordinating updates to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Your responsibilities will include training employees on best practices in data handling, maintaining and enhancing our data technologies, and acting as the Data Protection Coordinator within the team. This role is crucial in ensuring consistent data governance and communication, as well as leading the annual documentation process of customer data procedures.
Act as the liaison between business, IT, data security, and legal departments to document data flows and ensure compliance. Provide legal oversight of customer data across CRM markets, IT systems, and providers.
Train employees on data handling and legal matters, including GDPR and Anti-Trust.
Stay updated on data technologies, coordinating data collection and analysis, and developing compliant data policies.
Serve as the Data Protection Coordinator, managing Data Protection Requests with support from Product Owners and IT.
Utilize Data Governance principles and tools, communicating the importance of accurate and consistent data to stakeholders.
Conduct annual documentation of customer data processes, including system screenshots and training materials
Degree in business administration, economics, communication, or a related field, with 4-6 years of experience in data management or privacy compliance.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, including GDPR, PIPL, and California Law, and best practices in data protection.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and proficiency in data technologies for collection, analysis, and storage.
Experience in leading projects for Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy updates, and training employees on data handling and compliance.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with business, IT, data security, and legal teams, including international and remote projects.
Analytical and strategic thinker with strong organizational skills for maintaining legal and data processes.
