What you’ll do
The Agile Portfolio Lead is responsible for supporting the Tribe Lead in overseeing and managing the entire programme portfolio across domains, in order to meet business objectives. The Agile Portfolio Lead is responsible for managing demand and coordinating the project roadmap with agile teams. Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Solutions Designers, the Agile Portfolio Lead ensures specifications are delivered on time. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.
Who you are
* Responsible for working closely with the Tribe Lead, Solution Architects, and Product Owners and with other Portfolio Leads in order to align the portfolio backlog with the digital vision and strategy;
* Supports and optimises the overall budget for the programme portfolio, including maximising effective use of resources and ensuring programmes are delivering as much value as possible;
* Leads and manages capacity planning and budget for the programme portfolio and manages the resources that have been deployed;
* Tracks delivery performance across the entire programme portfolio, reporting regularly and participating in reviews with senior stakeholders;
* Maintains the view of the entire portfolio, balancing available capacity with business objectives to enable prioritisation;
* Facilitates the execution and synchronisation of product roadmaps (e.g. facilitates prioritisation at portfolio level);
* Ensures capacity planning of backend development team to meet product roadmap needs;
* Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating squads� risks and issues, in order to facilitate on-time delivery of capabilities and features aligned to the business outcome vision;
* Monitors performance across programmes in the portfolio to enable tracking of the digital strategy execution;
* Manages external dependencies for programmes;
* Manages sourcing strategy and vendor performance;
* Manages the deployment of all releases into production and defines and assess release readiness according to business requirements;
* Liaises and coordinates with IT and Engineering to ensure that portfolio needs are met and all respective project functions and delivery stakeholders are aligned in terms of delivery;
* Coordinates and communicates the release pipeline to deliver frequent releases and manages external dependencies, ensuring alignment across key partners and vendors;
* Tracks and reports on release progress and manages risks.
