Vice President / Head of IT Operations
The Vice President / Head of IT Operations will be responsible for overseeing the IT operations of the organization, ensuring the design, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality IT services and support to our internal and external stakeholders. This includes managing networks, servers, storage systems, and other critical hardware and software components. The individual in this position ensures that the IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient, supporting the organization's operational requirements. We are seeking a forward-thinking individual with demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure and service management, efficient operational management, as well as profound team management skills. The ideal candidate will promote the development and implementation of IT strategies, optimize service delivery processes, and enhance the overall user experience while possessing a solid understanding of network architecture and field services responsibilities.
We expect you to have/be:
* Oversee the IT Operations team, focusing on service management, network administration, hosting, service desk functions, and the implementation of cloud strategies, while maintaining congruence with the company's strategic direction.
* Develop and implement IT service management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Oversee network management initiatives, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization’s IT & OT infrastructure.
* Manage hosting solutions and suppliers, including on-premises and cloud-based environments, to ensure optimal performance and availability of applications and services.
* Oversee the service desk operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and requests while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Partner and collaborate with the Cyber Security team to prepare for and respond to potential security incidents.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in IT service management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy that supports business goals and encourages innovation.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of IT operations and service delivery.
* Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovation and continuous improvement within the IT operations function.
* Establish a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the IT Operations team.
We are looking for people who have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with a focus on service management and service desk leadership.
* Record of competently steering sizeable IT operations with a commitment to high-quality IT service outcomes.
* Good knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices in IT service management.
* High leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience with IT service management tools and technologies.
* High analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment and coordinate multiple priorities effectively.

Additional information
The position holder will be based in one of the major Automotive locations (preferred Europe, India, USA). As most of the programs will have an EMEA focus, time zone implications are to be acknowledged.
The role is reporting to Automotive Global Digitalization & Process, PMO and Quality Director.
