Join Our Team as a Scientist (m/f/d) in Marker Application for Sugar Beet and Cereals
Are you passionate about molecular markers and their impact on plant breeding? We’re looking for a scientist to strengthen and support our team in this field and to contribute to our cereal and sugar beet programs. As part of our engaged group, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing our marker application projects.
This position offers a limited contract till July, 31st 2025 and to be filled in full-time.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with breeding teams and external service providers to plan and coordinate molecular marker projects.
2. Data Analysis: Evaluate, interpret, and communicate marker results to breeding teams, ensuring data-driven decisions.
3. Process Optimization: Streamline molecular marker analyses and data management workflows.
4. Innovation: Contribute to the development of new marker systems and analysis strategies in molecular breeding.
5. Collaboration: Consult and interact with breeding teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Your Profile:
6. Hold a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in agricultural sciences, biology, or a related field
7. Familiarity with plant or animal breeding practices
8. Experience with molecular genetic data and the application of molecular markers
9. Proficient in MS Office, with an eagerness to learn new software tools
10. Good command of English (must) and German (desirable).
11. Work independently while thriving in a team-oriented setting.
