Our client, a PSF offering a full range of services in risk management, compliance, and domiciliation, is looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join an international team of thirty experts based in Luxembourg. If you are a seasoned professional with a solid background in risk management, particularly within UCITS and Private Equity funds, and wish to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and expanding environment, this opportunity is for you!
As a Risk Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Defining, implementing, and overseeing the global risk management framework for a diversified range of assets, with a strong focus on UCITS and Private Equity funds.
* Leading the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks, including market, liquidity, operational, and valuation risks.
* Providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and board members to optimize risk governance and decision-making.
* Ensuring compliance with evolving UCITS and AIFMD regulatory requirements and maintaining robust relationships with regulatory authorities.
* Developing and enhancing risk modeling tools (both qualitative and quantitative) to improve risk measurement and reporting processes.
* Supervising investment compliance and ensuring adherence to the defined risk profile for UCITS and Private Equity structures.
* Coordinating and mentoring junior team members to strengthen the firm's risk culture and expertise.
To succeed as a Risk Manager, you should:
* Have at least 5 years of experience in risk management within Luxembourg, ideally gained in a PSF, financial institution, or fund management company, with a focus on UCITS and Private Equity.
* Possess strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
* Have advanced proficiency in Excel and Office tools; knowledge of Access and financial modeling tools is a plus.
* Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, or risk management.
* Be fluent in both English and French; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
