Position Overview:
Our IT Director Cyber Security Europe and Africa protects Lear’s people, data, and operations from the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape, using innovative solutions and best practices, prioritizing the continuous cultivation of our security first mindset, ensuring cyber resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Tasks
* Embody the Lear Leadership Model by identifying, promoting, retaining, and developing key talent within the regional IS organization.
* Act as focal interface between Business, IT, and Security, highlighting potential risk preventative actions in a condensed and formalized manner for Senior Management Interface.
* Ensure the regional IT organization is set up to support secure delivery of key business projects or initiatives (e.g., Launches, GBS, M&A).
* Assume accountability as focal point for EMEA regional system cyber security topics including disaster recovery, cyber incident response, and regional compliance.
* Ensure peers have demonstrated awareness of security accountability within their IT functions and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of Lear goals across 2024.
* Actively seek to increase the level of diversity within the Regional IT/IS organization.
* Perform regular (minimum semi-annually) regional system recovery and tabletop crisis exercises.
* Lead security or other related incidents, following established Incident Response and Crisis Communications procedures to handle incidents promptly and effectively; acting as a liaison between technical and business teams.
* Identify, assess, and recommend secure replacements of or mitigation plans for legacy technologies, working with central teams to reduce vulnerabilities.
* Improve the controls environment via documentation, process improvements, training, and automation.
* Act as regional liaison for ongoing and future data protection initiatives (Cloud Storage Blocking, USB Controls, Data Loss Prevention).
* Onboarding and deployment of secure cloud solutions to support IDEA by Lear technologies.
* Deploy Third party risk platform and work with purchasing and central team to build a skilled team.
* Ensure the successful and secure launch of the Data Platform across 3 key projects.
* Drive and support of NAC and Segmentation efforts to secure systems for new projects and remediation efforts for risky legacy systems.
* Oversee seamless integration of IGB and other M&A activities within EMEA IT Operations structure and security process.
* Work collaboratively with IT Leadership, Country Security Councils, External Bodies, and Affiliations to ensure Lear is at the forefront of regulatory compliance topics.
* Act as regional stakeholder for the IT Country Security Council and its efforts to assess, identify, and remediate gaps with regulatory compliance for all countries in which Lear operates.
* Directly support regular internal/external/customer (e.g., TISAX) audit and certification activities within the EMEA region.
* Ensure awareness of leading industry standards, megatrends, risks, and legislative changes through proactive attendance, learning, and participation with associated bodies.
Key Requirements
* Experience of holding a regional management level position within cyber security in multinational corporations (preferably centered around manufacturing).
* Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers, stakeholders, and committees from both Operations and Product Cyber Security Teams.
* Demonstrated experience and technical background in information system cyber security.
* Personnel association with relevant security councils, groups, bodies, organizations, and/or universities would be beneficial.
* Fluency in English Language; second language competency useful.
