My client company is a leading renewable energy company in Germany, currently looking to add a Quantitative Risk Analyst to their team based in Hamburg. You will have a 50:50 split on your WFH/WFO flexibility. Main responsibilities: Collaborating with trading desk to manage energy trading risks. Growing and developing the PPA business, and serving at the primary risk management contact. Working cross functionally with other departments (Trading Desk, Credit Risk Management, DevOps, etc). Assessing and developing new trading strategies and products, and providing ad hoc analyses and evaluations. Your profile: Bachelor or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Business Mathematics or similarly related fields. Proven experience working with modelling and stochastic models (option pricing, VaR) and programming (Python, VBA, SQL). Prior experience working in either: Utilities, Renewable Energy (Gas/LNG), or Financial Services (Options/Hedging) industry. Fluency in English (C1), and ideally German (min. B1 fluent).
