Job Description Summary The Hybrid-Electric Propulsion team in Munich is looking for a student with a background in Electrical Engineering to support in the development of tools for the preliminary design and automation of detailed design of electrical machines Job Description You will be supporting the electromagnetics design with the following tasks: 1) calculations of analytical models of electrical machine, in terms of performance and sizing; 2) automate the setup, simulation and postprocessing of parametric analyses across different disciplines and tools; 3) software tool development and documentation. Qualifications/Requirements: Studying a Masteru2019s degreeinElectrical/ComputerEngineering or equivalent. Previous experience working with ANSYS packages (preferably Motor-CAD or ANSYS Maxwell) or other electromagnetics FEA software. Proficiency in Python or another scripting language. Fluency in English. Desired qualifications: Knowledge of electrical machines by coursework and previous practical design experience (labs, projects or internships). Previous experience in one of the following: Matlab/Simulink, VBA, APDL. Previous hands-on experience by full-time positions, internships or student teams at university. Structured approach of working, coding, and documenting. Ability to work in cross-functional global team in multi-cultural environments. Self-directed, highly motivated, quick leaner, flexible attitude, exceptional communication skills. Identify improvement opportunities and be able to communicate them to the team. Keen listener, proven facilitation, and collaboration skills. Passion for technology advancement.
