Plan and implement financial reporting ensuring outcomes of projects are in accordance with corporate governance requirements, ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and accounting processes are complied with: a. Collate, maintain, analyze financial data, and prepare accurate and timely reporting and forecasting to support data-driven decision-making. b. Contribute to the delivery of financial controls and insight into WFP performance, supporting periodic financial and risk assessments to identify areas which may present potential audit, compliance or financial risks. c. Prepare and monitor budgets and carry out forecasting for new and ongoing programs / projects according to established corporate procedures and requirements. d. Record financial entries in WFP Information Network and Global Systems (WINGS) such as through journal vouchers. e. Contribute to the monthly reconciliation of income and expenses, bank reconciliation, overall cashflow analysis to ensure activities are performed regularly and in accordance with corporate requirements and timely submitted; f. Design, implement and monitor standard processes linked to monthly, quarterly and yearly internal and external reporting activities. g. Deliver accurate financial reporting in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) ensuring accuracy, deadlines and compliance with accounting processes and corporate governance requirements. h. Support corporate finance and resource management strategies by contribution to policy and procedures embedding value for money, financial assessment and due diligence, reporting and accounting. 2. Support the innovation accelerator build-up, operations & management: a. Analyze data and support reporting & content preparation (PowerPoint presentations, data analysis, briefs, etc.) for corporate priority topics and executive management meetings; b. Support the proposal of innovative financial solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations, minimize risk, and align services with business objectives; c. Liaise with colleagues in other divisions or external stakeholders as needed; d. Support the Head of the Innovation Accelerator and the Director INN (Innovation Division) with any other activities as required. DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT: - Finance reporting activities and processes well documented and executed; - Effective support to operations of the Innovation Accelerator. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in economics, accounting or finance or accounting / finance professional certifications are considered a plus. Experience: At least three (3) years of national and/or international experience in finance management, reporting and budgeting profiles. Experience in working with UN agencies or international NGO finance and accounting profiles preferred. Knowledge & Skills: - Extensive knowledge of SAP and ERP financial and accounting systems; - Advanced Excel, data processing and analysis skills; - Ability to review large amount of data, identify data discrepancies, accuracy and attention to details in preparation of reports; - Experience in preparation and financial review of programme/project budgets, expense monitoring. donor reporting and compliance. - Very good knowledge of internal controls and proper accounting procedures; - Self-motivated and able to work in a high performing and dynamic team. Able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders and external audience with maturity and tact; - Strong communication/presentation skills, with the ability to write documents, to develop business plans and to write and deliver presentations; - Interest and a general understanding of technology innovations (e.g. mobile apps, blockchain, artificial intelligence) and business model innovations (e.g. innovative finance, crowdsourcing); - Collaborative spirit, able to partner with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy; - Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy; - Sets high-level of ambition for the project and own work to achieve impact for the hungry people we serve. - Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the UN World Food Programme. Languages: Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
