This business focuses on designing EV charging hardware products and the associated softwares to manage integrated EV charging solutions.
We are expanding our eMobility digital team in Europe and looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to enhance our cloud capabilities and drive the integration of digital technologies in our operations.
Your role :
You will join the cloud software development team with the digital department.
As a Senior Cloud Architect at Schneider Electric, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cloud-based solutions across our global infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWS. This position requires a blend of strategic architectural design and practical hands-on ability to implement and manage complex cloud environments.
Your missions :
* Design and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud architectures primarily on AWS, with knowledge of other environments.
* Lead the migration of existing cloud software to Schneider approved cloud-based platforms, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
* Develop and deploy microservices architectures, actively supporting coding, testing and deployment.
* Manage the full lifecycle of deployment from architecture design through integration and maintenance.
* Guide and mentor teams in developing modern cloud solutions, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cloud computing to keep Schneider Electric at the forefront of technological innovation.
* Run Cloud SW architecture audits on existing SW and on-going developments
* Ensure all required Security features are included in the design
The role is based in Grenoble (Electropole), and you may be required to travel to our factories or suppliers on an ad hoc basis.
Your profile :
* 0 - 15 years of overall experience in software engineering
* 3+ years in architect role for a cloud-based software product / platform with a proven track record of deploying cloud solutions in a large-scale environment.
* Expert knowledge of AWS; Azure knowledge is a plus.
* Experienced professional working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Scaled Agile (SAFe) mode.
* Han ds-on experience with microservices, containerization and Kubernetes (AKS, Openshift).
* Hands-on experience to work on different databases (Redis, Mongodb, Postgresql)
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and C#
* Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
* Experience in various DevOps tools evaluation, design, integration and deployment for Enterprise.
* Hands on experience on various DevSecOps tools Synopsys Coverity, BlackDuck, Threatmodeler, Sonarcube. GitHub Advanced Security, etc.
* Hands on experience of Atlassian Jira & Confluence Cloud, GitHub Enterprise.

* Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences.
* Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
* Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to communicate and thrive in a cross-functional environment.
* Willingness to work outside documented job description. Has a "whatever is needed" attitude.
