Your role As Financial Controller for the SnT, you will be working in a team and you will report to the Head of SnT Administration and Support. Your responsibilities will be to: Act as a financial business partner for a group of internal stakeholders with various backgrounds (academic, financial, project coordination, HR, etc.) Prepare budgets, forecasts and simulations to support the activities of the research centre Monitor, analyse and report financial results of projects funded by various agencies (FNR, European Commission, ESA, etc.) to relevant stakeholders (e.g. professors, researchers with budget responsibility, project team) Provide financial support and advise, deliver accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information that enhances / support plan and decision making of relevant stakeholders Establish a strong interface and collaborative relationship with the relevant teams Contribute to quarterly / year end closing activities Contribute to internal reporting for SnT Director Contribute to external reporting to various funding agencies Coordinate research groups, portfolio and projects resource planning Review HR costs/ planning and approve the relevant commitments Provide ad hoc reporting, requests, and projects Maintain financial databases and ensure availability of relevant and structured (financial) information in the database Supervise financial transactions in compliance with various quality requirements, e.g. with UL internal policies and procedures, with requirements of external funding agencies, etc. Initiate/ contribute/
