Who We Are Looking For
For our location in Konstanz, we are currently seeking a Security Operations Specialist (m/f/d) to join us at the earliest opportunity .
The Security Operations Specialist is responsible for general and emergency assistance to a worldwide client base utilizing operations protocols and other client focused procedures. In this role, you will hone your skills to a better understanding of global security, while guiding clients through a multifaceted and challenging landscape. You will serve as a team member in a Crisis24 Global Operations Centres (GOC) which serves as our heart for the delivery of operational tasks in support of our global clients. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in security and risk management, looking to further hone their skills and deepen their expertise in an operational setting.
Central to this role is the ability to work clearly and calmly under pressure. It is essential to work effectively in a global team to deliver solutions in real time in combination with being able to run routine daily tasks with focus and accuracy.
What You Will Work On
1. Support the research and assessment of a threat environment for proposed task/travel, using a range of privileged and open-source platforms or research networks.
2. Support the research and delivery of pre-travel briefings and presentations to a range of travellers (including deploying expats, academia, NGOs, corporate travellers, C-suite, etc.).
3. Monitor requests and supply the content to global travel security requests from deployed personnel, in-country travellers, clients, and on-the-ground security teams.
4. Oversee security situations in locations where clients are located and conduct regular checks to confirm the well-being of personnel while utilizing open-source intelligence.
5. Develop and support security response contingency planning.
6. Utilize tracking platforms to monitor events and action at risk notifications.
7. Respond to Special Risk (Kidnap, Ransom & Extortion) calls, gathering the key information and quickly escalating internally to the specialist department.
8. Support the coordination and communication of security, evacuation, and emergency tasks.
9. Maintain and develop the compilation of post operational reports for internal (lessons identified & learnt) and external (marketing & case study) purposes.
10. Follow, train, and adhere to Crisis24 security, response & client standard operating procedures.
11. Retain and understand a familiarisation of Crisis24 services.
12. Provide day to day support and guidance to new front-line staff and Security Specialists, ensuring consistency, competence & efficiency in security related response handling and operational tasks.
13. Strive to deliver the highest standards of service to customers.
14. Support the training, coaching, and mentoring of new starters.
15. Willingness to work in shifts, along with availability outside of regular working hours in case of emergencies, potentially in the form of on-call duty.
What You Will Bring
16. Bachelor’s degree in international studies/development or related field; or four years direct experience in emergency or crisis response, military operations or response centres where strong communication skills are essential during high operational tempo.
17. International studies, Emergency Management, call center and/or expatriate experience desired. Experience in psychological first aid, is a plus.
18. Must be able to work in the country identified for the position without any restrictions and report to the office on a hybrid schedule.
19. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for conveying complex situational information to duty personnel and client POCs in an accurate and concise manner.
20. You have excellent proficiency in both German and English (at least C1 level in both languages), French is a plus. All additional languages are an advantage.
21. Strong team player with ability to carry additional responsibilities calmly and professionally.
22. A strong, solutions-oriented mindset combined with a proactive approach to tackling complex challenges
23. A well-developed sense of judgment, critical thinking, analytical, and practical application skills are essential
24. Exemplary management, organisational & administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail in a fast-moving environment
25. Proven ability to research, digest, and evaluate various sources and associated information topics.
26. Must be an inspirational and motivational instructor to support the leading of the GOC, mission planning, execution and after-action review.
27. Exemplary computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and an aptitude to learn new, applications and systems.
