Position Summary We are seeking an R&D Scientist specializing in photocurable dielectric materials to join our team in Munich. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the research and development of novel dielectric materials for additive manufacturing of electronic devices. This role involves formulation development, material characterization, and collaboration with internal and external partners to drive innovation in the field. Group: Nano Dimension Contribution: Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize photocurable dielectric materials based on acrylates, epoxies, and other resin systems. Formulate photoinitiator systems and composite resins with various fillers and additives. Conduct characterization of formulations and reactive systems, including dispersion quality, curing behavior, rheology, and surface tension. Perform mechanical and thermal property assessments of polymeric materials. Coordinate and manage external R&D collaborations and technology transfers. Work closely with process engineering teams to ensure successful material integration. Report to: Dr. Stefan Schlisske Qualifications & Skills: Master’s or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in photochemistry, including photoinitiators, curing mechanisms, and light-matter interactions. Proficiency in analytical techniques such as (UV)-rheology, DSC, TGA, and mechanical testing. Experience in dispersion technologies and formulation of composite resins is an advantage. Knowledge of additive manufacturing, inkjet technology, or the PCB industry is a plus. Strong project management and external collaboration skills are beneficial. Proactive, self-motivated, and structured approach to work. Excellent teamwork and communication skills in an international environment. Business-fluent English proficiency.
