Business Analysis Associate (m / f / d)
The IT department supports Finance in Motion’s business strategy by providing secure automation systems to ensure efficiency in investment operations. It designs, manages, and supports all internal systems and cloud service providers on which the company's business is run. We are looking for a Business Analyst, who will join our team in Frankfurt office to further automate and optimize business processes by providing robust software solutions. We also expect our new colleague to play an important role in the BA competence center.
Key Responsibilities:
* Play a key role in building an interface between IT and Business units of the company.
* Understand business needs and identify and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Work pragmatically and support Business teams in speedy delivery of high-quality solutions.
* When being part of a project: play a key role in defining and managing business requirements from initial idea until their final implementation, coordinate and/or self-perform UAT, perform various analyses, e.g., software market analysis, support “build or buy” decision, BIA (Business Impact Analysis), etc. Contribute to the development of training and communication materials for system users.
* Initiate and lead a constructive dialogue among BAs of Business units to understand needs, challenges, and opportunities aiming at supporting the projects which add the biggest value to the company and by this contribute to achieving FiM’s goals.
* Play a BA competence center role by owning, maintaining, and continuously improving BA processes, procedures, and tools, supporting with internal and external trainings and supporting the strategic function of the BA Forum.
* As part of the Project Management unit, support with various activities focused on continuous improvement and development of PM processes and tools.
What we expect:
* Significant relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst (previous Product Owner experience is a big plus) in financial or similar sectors.
* Experience in methodologies, experience in SCRUM is a big plus.
* Experience in cost/benefit, build or buy, business impact analysis is a big plus.
* Familiar with MS apps such as SharePoint, Teams; knowledge of Azure DevOps and Power Platform/Automate would be a big advantage.
* Advanced user of BA tools such as mock-up builders, process designers.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Superior written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
* Creative, self-motivating attitude, a team player.
* Very good interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in spoken and written English; German is an advantage.
