Systemarchitekt / Workflow System Analyst (m/w/d) Your role in our team You work on our ORCA or LogX4 software platforms and realize distributed real-time systems for automated recognition and video encoding of mail or parcel attributes (addresses, labels, codes, franking ...) for data analytics and process optimization. Our solution processes between 5 and 200 mail items per second, and scales from single node systems to nationwide recognition networks with more than 1000 nodes. You are responsible for requirements engineering, architecture, design, and implementation for customer projects on the basis of these platforms: Develop processing concepts and architecture for workflow systems. System analysis in the area of workflow, statistics, operational quality, and others. Creation of component-based system concepts and architectures. Creation of component requirement specifications. Consultancy and support of a software development team. Design of software components. Component implementation and testing. Support of the system integration and testing until customer acceptance. Your profile Required Skills: Expertise, typically more than two years of practical experience with complex distributed systems. Expertise, typically more than two years of practical experience with real-time processing, high-performance throughput, and high availability aspects. Very good knowledge, typically more than one year of practical experience with JEE, preferably Wildfly. Strength in conceptual work, analytical thinking, and methodical working practice. Outstanding skills in analysis and specification of components and their interfaces. Capability to work autonomously but also in teams, to communicate technical concepts and solutions. Competent knowledge with OO development, design patterns, UML, and corresponding tools. Programming languages: Java (more than four years of experience), SQL, JSON, XML. Protocols/Middleware: JMS, JDBC, Clustering, JSP, JNI, MQTT, WebServices. Experience with Windows and its tool landscape. Linux knowledge welcome. Languages: English and German, business fluent in spoken and written. Other languages welcome. Your home base: Konstanz, Germany. Willing to travel worldwide (Europe, US, Asia) for 2-4 weeks/year. Useful Skills: Experience with SaaS architectures, Kubernetes, cloud, and on-premises solutions. Experience with SQL databases, PostgreSQL. Relational database tuning expertise: analysis, performance tuning (access latency, throughput performance, availability, freedom from maintenance). Programming languages: C/C++, Python. Development tools: Subversion, GIT, Ant, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven.
