The Technical Manager - HIC will report to the Technical Sales Manager of Home Care & Industrial Cleaning. The TM is the resource of the Commercial Area, which, in coordination with its Key or Reference Commercial Account Manager, will actively participate in the promotion of raw materials from a technical point of view to clients in its area for the HIC sector.
What you´ll do:
* Establish new relationships and maintain existing relationships with Home & Industrial Cleaning customers.
* Research and identify potential customers for products by following the market (products, opportunities, competitors, new suppliers, new customers, etc.).
* Prepare technical presentations explaining products to customers and prospects.
* Provide pre-sales and after-sales support and technical services, resolving customer issues.
* Provide technical support to the sales team on specific product lines or projects, including documentation.
* Support the client's R&D department on a technical level.
* 20% of the time will have to be spent on Performance Testing in our application laboratory in Essen.
* Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing or technical events.
* Keep abreast of industry news and trends, products, competitors, existing and new technologies, and latest product line developments.
* Participate in supplier training courses and seminars to improve and update personal product understanding and
* application experience.
* Anticipate and optimally meet the needs of customers and suppliers, taking ownership for their happiness and retention.
* Compliance to all Company procedures (quality, safety and environmental ones), and legislative requirements
What you´ll need:
* Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or similar - required
* Knowledge in the development of formulations in Home Care and Industrial Cleaning (minimum five years) - required
* Understanding and applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for crafting and producing various HIC products.
* Knowledge of the market and reference raw materials
* Ability to travel throughout DACH region but main area of activity Germany.
* Bilingual German & English - required
