Job Description
We are a dynamic and energetic group involved in simulation-assisted development of lifetime models for a variety of cross-functional design elements. Within this internship you can contribute your own ideas towards quantifying product reliability also in the context of E-mobility.
1. You will become a part of an innovative team and work together on research topics related to fracture mechanics simulation. Perform tasks related to calculate different evaluation criteria based on experimental data.
2. Furthermore, you will be mainly involved in FE modeling and simulations in prediction of adhesion strength of bi-material interfaces. Offer support with ideas for the implementation of a simulation workflow.
3. In addition, you document, summarize and present the results within the team.
Qualifications
4. Education: studies in the field Computational Mechanics, Computational Materials/Engineering
5. Experience and Knowledge: background in Finite Element Method and Solid Mechanics, keen interest in material modeling and numerical simulations; experience in scientific programming of user-subroutines (using Fortran or Python) is highly advantageous
6. Personality and Working Practice: team-oriented, independent workstyle and willingness to learn
7. Languages: German and/or English fluent

Duration: 6 months
