To strengthen our team in the area of Global Engineering in Trier/Germany, we are looking for a Global Engineering Make & Pack Assets & Projects Manager (m/f/d) in permanent employment.
Your job mission:
The primary responsibilities of the position include optimizing the utilization of new and surplus Making and Packing equipment across JTI factories. This involves conducting engineering studies to ensure global capacity is appropriately sized and sourcing platforms are optimized. Additionally, the position entails assessing and qualifying new technologies, providing support for project planning and implementation, maintaining an accurate global MP asset database, developing and upholding global machinery standards and acceptance procedures, and managing CAPEX plans for relevant projects.

Your tasks:
1. Optimizing the use of new and surplus equipment in JTI factories by evaluating replacement, rejuvenation, capacity increase, and sourcing projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets in line with IWS IM (Initiative Management) approach
2. Conducting comprehensive global engineering studies to ensure optimal capacity alignment and sourcing platform optimization. Developing alternative machine plan scenarios aimed at right-sizing capacity and enhancing sourcing efficiency
3. Conducting and facilitating engineering studies to support business development projects and equipment assessments.
4. Managing and maintaining JTI's global asset register and EAM SAP machine database for making and packing, as well as the OTP field. Development and documentation of machine specification standards, acceptance and qualification test standards, and product dimensional specifications for RMC and OTP, aligning closely with R&D
5. Maintenance of CAPEX plans for relevant projects
Your profile:
6. University degree in Engineering / Technical College
7. Sound experience (5 years) and extensive technical knowledge in cigarette Making and Packing technology area in a multinational environment
8. Experience in project planning and implementation preferably in a manufacturing environment
9. Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to manage various stakeholders
10. Excellent communication skills
11. Excellent project management skills
12. Profound knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD as well as intermediate SAP experience
13. Flexible and willing to travel
