As an End User Sales Manager m/f/d for North-/East Germany / Denmark you will be the single point contact for all sales & customer support coverage, management and strategic focus for Ruhrpumpen in a defined territory and assigned accounts in Northern Germany & Denmark. Follows “One Face One Customer” Policy. End User Sales is responsible for increasing sales, (either directly or through assigned network) and market share for all Ruhrpumpen products and Aftermarket services as defined in sales strategies. Primarily a customer site-based role with focus on sales of new/replacement/duplicate pumps, parts and parts contracts, field service/repair/upgrades and optimization of the defined territory and assigned accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Single Point of Contact calling on customers in the territory on a regular basis to grow the business in all project market segments, per the guidelines established
* Grow business in all market segments by calling on assigned customers on a regular basis. Primary focus will be on RP aftermarket offerings including targeting competitor REAP and services
* Maintains active communications and relationships with respective In-House personnel, utilizing all available team support to provide viable customer solutions
* Develop and maintain active relationships with buying influences and develop new relationships to maintain and grow customer / territory interactions. Responsible for all customer / territory interactions (single point contact)
* Identify and Work with customers to understand their individual needs, bad actors and/or areas for improvement. Identify benefits for applying suggested solutions which may impact customers metrics
* Responsible for territory and customer forecasts, budgets, and cost control via company approved systems, methods, and policies.
* Represent all Ruhrpumpen's products and Aftermarket services as defined in sales strategies.
* Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope requirements to ensure proposals are generated to meet requirements.
* Recommend changes to Key Account sales strategies / tactics as they are periodically evaluated for effectiveness, make recommendations for change.
* Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal terms and conditions to mutual satisfaction of all parties.
* Provide new pump opportunities to Inside Sale for quoting and specifications.
* Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact per company guidelines with up to 75% travel.
* Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on regular bases.
* Participate in Team Selling efforts by passing on sales opportunities / leads generated during daily activities via CRM to Ruhrpumpen OE sales group as defined by commission policy and guidelines.
* Responsible for all customer / territory communications and interactions through daily update in CRM and forecast which includes industry / market / account competitive analysis to support management strategy development.
* Maintain all company tools in good working order
Qualifications & Required Competencies:
* Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Travel is a must (50-75% of the time)
* 5+ years’ experience selling engineered equipment and service.
* Experience working with End Users, extensive understanding of an end-users objectives and challenges
* Acumen to trouble shoot and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Create communication skills, customer focus, and drive to results profile
* Thorough understanding of tender processes including technical specifications combined with the ability to translate requirements into product sales strategies.
* Upon training the End User Sales role is expected to size, select pumps and be able to produce New equipment proposals utilizing RP quotation & CRM tools.
* Rotating equipment experience is a plus
* Experience utilizing CRM software for account and territory management.
* Fluent communication skills in English & German, Danish is a desired skill.
This position has physical demands for prolonged sitting, ability to hear by phone or in person, lift up to 25 pounds, repetitive use of hands, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, climbing and reaching.
