Your Role:
* You conduct fermentation trials including the handling of microorganisms for quality tests.
* You maintain the Doehler strain collection for innovation projects.
* You assist in the development of new cultural media and the development of biosynthesis processes, encompassing both up- and down-stream operations, at laboratory and pilot scale including work with bioreactors up to 1000 L scale.
* You organize and execute laboratory and pilot scale trials for biosynthesis processes.
* You assist in validation of biosynthesis processes on laboratory and pilot scale.
* You produce starter cultures for production plants and ensures quality according to the respective specifications.
* You are responsible for maintaining the laboratory and pilot scale equipment to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to quality standards in biotechnological processes.
* You manage inventory and procurement of raw materials and laboratory supplies to support seamless operations within biotechnological processes.
Your Profile:
* You have completed a training as food technician, chemical or microbial laboratory technician or comparable and have ideally already gained 1-3 years of professional experience in laboratory, pilot or production work in fields of food production or biotechnology.
* Your colleagues (m/f/d) appreciate your responsible, very well organized and precise way of working and documentation.
* You keep a cool head in stressful situations and adapt flexibly to the situation.
* Experience with a laboratory management system as well as a confident use of common MS Office applications enrich your profile.
* You have very good knowledge of German; ideally good knowledge of English.
