For our German sites in Wesseling near Cologne we are looking for a
Communications Advisor (m/f/d)
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Thorough knowledge of corporate communications operating within a Corporate Affairs department
2. Lead the development and execution of communications plans in Germany
3. Create content for various communications channels (. regional newsletters, Elements,, social media and LYB content hub)
4. Contribute to the alignment and information sharing among the Corporate Affairs team about new messaging, resources, upcoming events/ activities, etc.
5. Understand the vision of management and clients
6. Serve as a project owner, executing campaigns and projects as assigned with a degree of skill and professionalism
7. Possess initiative to think several steps ahead and anticipate needs of clients / stakeholders and management
8. Create and maintain communications resources and toolkits including but not limited to key message documents, power point presentations and training materials
9. Communicate proactively with Corporate Affairs, business colleagues and functional teams on upcoming communications to ensure awareness and alignment among all stakeholders
10. Represent the company with the utmost integrity and abides by the LyondellBasell Code of Conduct
11. Review documents and language from other functional areas where applicable (., external, marketing communications, internal) for accuracy and consistency
12. Actively participates and communicate new ideas, innovative methods and/or tools to communications leadership team
13. Responsible for responding and/or escalating client / stakeholder requests for support and follow through to close out
Qualifications
14. Successfully completed bachelor's degree in communication sciences or a comparable qualification
15. More than 8 years’ experience in Communication or related field
16. Fluent in German and English to have the ability to translate documents from English to German with proficiency
17. Demonstrate strong skillset in internal and external communication
18. Must demonstrate solid interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
19. Displays resilience in tacking opportunities and challenges of the job
20. Solid collaboration and listening skills and the ability to work within and across functions
21. Ability to adapt to a changing environment while maintaining work focus despite challenges or setbacks
22. Possess a solution-oriented approach
23. Command of AP Style, while displaying strong and efficient writing competencies across digital and print platforms
24. Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, including ability to engender trust, respect and confidence
25. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage sensitive materials
26. Good judgement with the ability to work effectively under pressure, constantly adjusting priorities as circumstances change
