This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisation's Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.
EUMETSAT also operates several Copernicus missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data services to the Copernicus marine and atmospheric services and their users.
The mission of DSA is to provide a state-of-the-art data service portfolio building on cloud computing technologies, together with managing the Satellite Application Facilities (SAF) Network and their evolution by building strong synergies between both activities. You will contribute to the evolution of the EUMETSAT data service and cloud service strategies, development of new concepts as well as screening and analysis of new technologies.
Contribute to the annual budget exercise and management of industrial support contracts within the context of DSA;
· Fostering the development of synergies of 3rd party EC funded digital solutions such as Destination Earth Data Lake and the Copernicus DIAS WEkEO.
Very strong technical background in ideally one or more fields of: digital solutions, cloud based solutions and data services;
· Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication (both oral and in writing) skills, with a proven ability to apply these to multiple hierarchical levels, working within and across international and diverse teams.
Candidates must be able to work effectively in English.
