ROLE OVERVIEW Reporting to the US Controller, the Finance & Administration Associate, Heidelberg is an integral member of the global finance team, you will support all aspects of BioLabs’ accounting and administrative activities in Germany, from managing accounts receivable and accounts payables to preparing financial reports. We are looking for an Associate (m/f/d), part-time (18 hours /week) or full-time, to join our team at the Heidelberg location. RESPONSIBILITIES Support all financial and administrative operations in Germany, including general accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable using DATEV (digital invoice processing). Prepare all month-end processes, including journal preparation (accruals and prepayments), and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions. Handle payroll processing for employees in Germany, in collaboration with accounting firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Assist with preparing and completing financial statements and other relevant financial documents for Germany. Prepare financial reports and support informed decision-making. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Completed commercial or equivalent vocational training. Three or more years of experience in an accounting/financial role. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). NetSuite experience preferred. German and English language skills are required. High sense of responsibility, reliability, and commitment to tasks. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
