The Commercial Director DACH for Leica Biosystems is responsible for delivering budgeted performance through developing and implementing an integrated growth strategy for the full LBS product portfolio for the DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Deliver budgeted performance through achieving or exceeding planned growth for all product lines within the DACH region.
2. Develop and execute a sales strategy with a thoughtful and solid approach to the market potential and growth objectives.
3. Develop and deliver winning regional sales plans, focusing on key account strategies and effective stakeholder management.
4. Own the regional DACH forecast through rigorous funnel management and opportunity review.
5. Oversee and enforce elite selling practices, key account management, competitive selling, and hunting/prospecting skills.
6. Scrutinize and approve long-term contracts and quotations for compliance with business policies.
7. Monitor contract performance with close watch on compliance and negotiation for long-term relationships that are beneficial to both LBS and the customer.
8. Attract and retain a top-performing team, focused on a holistic sense of accountability to the entirety of the customer relationship.
9. Develop direct reports with an active succession plan in place and oversee the performance for growth process with the whole team.
10. Develop and drive effectiveness of a best-in-class Service & Customer Care team, fostering a customer-centric organization with a continuous improvement culture.
The essential requirements of the job include:
1. Bachelor’s degree is required – preferably in a sciences or healthcare-related field.
2. Demonstrated success in leading commercial teams, preferably in the healthcare sector, managing both long- and short-term business cycles through effective funnel management practices.
3. Proven track record of managing complex key accounts and effectively implementing winning key account management practices.
4. In-depth experience with sales methods, policies, processes, tools, and procedures.
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
6. Excellent and proven analytical capabilities and financial acumen in complex environments.
7. Proven track record as a developing and enabling people manager.
8. Proven ability to work with German Works Councils.
