About the Role
A leading international industrial company is seeking a Head of Procurement to drive and optimize its global sourcing strategy. This role will oversee supplier relationships, procurement processes, and cost management to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to managing procurement challenges in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
* Assess and optimize supplier networks to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including demand forecasting, sourcing, negotiations, and contract management.
* Establish and monitor procurement KPIs to track efficiency, performance, and cost savings.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including supply chain, sales, planning, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
* Oversee supplier performance evaluation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform procurement decisions and risk management strategies.
* Spearhead digital transformation efforts in procurement processes.
Must-Have Qualifications
* Proven experience in strategic procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing leadership within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a focus on cost optimization and value creation.
* Experience managing supplier relationships and vendor performance metrics.
* Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies at a global level.
* Familiarity with procurement digitalization tools and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple departments.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
* Additional language proficiency in Italian, French, or German.
* Previous experience implementing supplier performance improvement initiatives.
* Familiarity with supplier collaboration platforms.
* Exposure to sustainability and compliance initiatives in procurement.
