Position Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Sales Director to expand Piano Analytics' presence in the BFSI sector across the DACH region. As an individual contributor, you will be focused on acquiring new enterprise customers. You will be responsible for identifying and closing new opportunities, leveraging your industry expertise and network. This consultative sales role requires strong engagement with different stakeholders, including C-level, to position Piano’s solutions as strategic value drivers. While experience in analytics is beneficial, we are looking for candidates with transferable skills and a strong technical understanding of enterprise software sales.
What You'll Do
1. Take part in the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, with a focus on driving net-new business in the BFSI sector.
2. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate top enterprise accounts in the DACH region.
3. Engage and sell to C-level executives, positioning Piano as a key strategic partner.
4. Build and expand a strong pipeline through proactive hunting, networking, and leveraging marketing resources.
5. Negotiate and close complex enterprise deals, demonstrating deep business acumen and problem-solving skills.
6. Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and pre-sales teams to drive deal momentum.
7. Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement, ensuring consistent performance against targets.
Required Skills & Attributes
1. 5 years of experience in enterprise software sales, preferably within the BFSI sector.
2. Proven ability to hunt and close net-new business in a competitive market.
3. Experience engaging C-level executives and leading complex negotiations.
4. Strong consultative sales skills with a track record of selling high-value SaaS solutions.
5. Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and articulate value propositions.
6. Native German language proficiency is a must.
7. This is an individual contributor role – no team management responsibilities.
8. Willingness to travel as required.
9. Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
