We are hiring an Analyst / Associate Portfolio Manager (Global Private Debt) 24-month FTC. This position is based in Munich or Frankfurt.
With a footprint across Europe, US, and Asia, the Global Private Debt team invests in private credit primaries, secondaries, and co-investments on behalf of Allianz and third-party clients. The team comprises of an international and well diverse group of investment professionals. As part of the Global Private Debt team, the Associate Portfolio Manager will work with different AllianzGI functions (e.g., Product Specialists’ team, Distribution teams, Legal & Products, Risk Management & Valuation) and the investment analytics & reporting team. The scope is to cover the whole investment value chain ranging from investment selection and execution process to portfolio monitoring and regular interaction with GPs.
What you will do
* Active deal sourcing through origination network in private debt primaries, secondaries, and co-investments across global private debt funds in direct lending, mezzanine, special situations space and across corporate, real estate and infrastructure debt
* Evaluate potential investment opportunities by conducting top-down and bottom-up portfolio analysis
* Lead and coordinate investment due diligence and help with the preparation and presentation of private debt investment opportunities in investment committee meetings
* Perform market coverage, screening, and benchmarking of potential investments
* Investment analytics, portfolio monitoring and performance benchmarking
* Contribute to RfPs, client requests, reporting and communication
* Develop, maintain and improve marketing materials with assistance from distribution, product specialists and marketing teams.
What you bring
* You completed your graduate studies in finance, economics, or mathematics with excellent results
* You have an interest in capital markets and alternative investments, and you have gained up to 5 years of working experience in private debt, private equity or an investment bank in the field of M&A, leveraged finance or structured finance
* You take initiative and can work independently within an international and dynamic environment
* You can handle multiple responsibilities with high level of attention to details
* You are an ambitious and self-motivated individual with strong analytical and quantitative skills
* You are proficient in English in writing and speaking. German is a plus
* You like to support a growing business, applying your skills to add value to a variety of tasks including business/product development, fundraising, asset management, and different internal initiatives
* Excellent educational background in finance or economics.
