About the LCSB The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character. The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg. We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer''s and Parkinson''s disease and their contributing factors. Your role In this temporary position, you will play a key role in supporting the LCSB''s fundraising strategy by managing relationships with existing and new private donors and identifying and engaging with relevant foundations. Key responsibilities include preparing proposals and communication materials, organising fundraising events and visits, and maintaining the LCSB fundraising webpage. The officer will work closely with researchers to identify funding needs, support donor meetings, and liaise with the central fundraising office. Additionally, the role includes handling administrative tasks related to donations, preparing budget reports, and managing the donor database. Your activities: Serve as contact point for researchers for information about funding possibilities and related procedures Assist academic staff in the preparation of applications for funding during the proposal, submission and preparation stage, budget planning as well as management of research projects including donation conventions Support the preparation of reports for lay audience (e.g. progress reports, final project reports) Keep internal records and ensure internal cooperation and communication within the LCSB, partner institutions and central administration, as well as with other research entities and funders Ensure that donation proposals are pre reviewed, submitted and followed up after submission Cooperation and communication with central fundraising office and external stakeholder Your profile University degree (Master level or PhD); educational background in life sciences or a related discipline would be considered as strong advantage First experience in research and project management, project monitoring, proposal writing, budget planning, and related reporting Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French and/or German, Luxembourgish would be seen as an asset Proficient in utilising standard Microsoft Office applications, understanding of content management systems to maintain website.
