Your Job
1. Create and further enhance comprehensive Claims Guidelines and Work Instructions, standards and processes for Claims Management
2. Ensure up to date levels of authorities for all functions in Global Claims
3. Proactively assess the impact of legal developments on claims work and amend guidelines and work instructions where necessary
4. Closely cooperate with all Claims units regarding the global, regional and local guidelines and work instructions
5. Assess risks and identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability, define and review essential risks of the processes for claims management with regard to compliance, anti-fraud measures and others according to the Group Policies incl. responsibility for the facilitation of Claims’ non-financial risk reporting incl. ORCS (Operational Risk and Control) self-assessment of all Global Claims units and reassess classified risks on a regular basis
6. Prepare materials and information required in response to internal and external regulatory audits, data calls and surveys and assist in preparing responsive communications
7. Being the contact for Group Audit for Claims relevant requests, internal regulations and processes
8. Plan and conduct internal reviews in Claims units in Munich and international locations
9. Communicate review results including areas of improvement orally as well as in writing, implement appropriate follow-ups
10. Qualitative reviews of the contents of our Claims Management tools (e.g. LMR Loss Management Reporting database)
11. Active involvement in claims topic related project work including project lead
12. Prepare and conduct trainings on specific governance topics
13. Representing Claims’ interests in cross divisional governance related subjects
Your Profile
14. University degree in law or comparable formal qualification
15. Expert knowledge of reinsurance and/or primary insurance in claims
16. Excellent personal network within Munich Re
17. Strong communication skills
18. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, distinct capability to solve problems
19. Fluent in spoken and written business English, further languages are an advantage
20. High level of commitment with a willingness to travel
