Areas of Responsibility:
1. Lead the creation and validation of innovative ideas focused on child safety, contributing to the next generation of child products
2. Develop intricate constructions for complex parts using advanced 3D design tools, particularly Pro Engineer/CREO, and translate these designs into 2D for production purposes
3. Generate creative mechanical solutions to complex challenges, providing hand-drawn sketches to visualize concepts during the development phase
4. Collaborate with the workshop team to build prototypes, primarily using steel and plastic fabrication techniques, ensuring high-quality functional models
5. Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and documentation for current and future products, to be used by internal teams and external suppliers
6. Work closely with intercultural and cross-functional teams, including Development, Design, Procurement, Product Management, Industrial Engineering, and Quality teams, to ensure seamless product development and optimization
7. Liaise with external suppliers to provide technical support and ensure the successful production of components in alignment with design specifications
8. Offer technical expertise to the Procurement and Product Management teams, facilitating informed decision-making on material sourcing and production processes
Profile of Qualifications:
9. Successful completion of a technical qualification or engineering degree with a focus on mechanics, plastics, or a related field
10. Hands-on experience in designing both electronic and mechanical applications, with an understanding of injection molding and metal fabrication processes
11. Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Pro Engineer/CREO, with the ability to create and convert designs into 2D technical drawings
12. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to plastics and metals, including injection molding and fabrication
13. Proven ability to work effectively in intercultural and cross-divisional teams
14. Ability to clearly convey ideas and technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
15. A creative mindset with the ability to generate novel solutions to complex mechanical problems
16. A highly organized and independent work style, with meticulous attention to detail
17. Proactive and self-driven, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
18. Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken
