The Scholz lab has made significant contributions to the fields of addictive behaviors using Drosophila melanogaster as a genetic model system. Ongoing projects include functional neuroanatomy, behavior, and cellular mechanisms underlying neuronal plasticity.

The position is available immediately on a part-time basis (25,89 hours per week). The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 31.03.2028. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.

YOUR PROFILE
Master’s degree in neuroscience, biology, or related field and experience in molecular genetics, biochemistry, cellular imaging, neuroanatomy or quantitative animal behavior. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong quantitative and technical skills and a strong interest in learning and memory. Experiences with the Drosophila model system, imaging techniques, behavioral analysis and neuroanatomy is desired.
