Summary of This Role
In this new Role as Deputy Compliance-Officer - Germany you will be
supporting the Head of Compliance in navigating the German business
through a framework of systems and controls, and to promote a
compliance culture across the company. With you we want to build up and
extend our compliance department and raise it to the next level. If you
are well-experienced both in performing and assisting in development of
enterprise-level risk management and operational and strategical
compliance functions, and you like to juggle different topics at the time
(Compliance, Legal and Regulatory Bodies, Policies and Data Analysis)

What Part Will You Play?
1. Support the Head of Compliance in driving activities to maintain
regulatory compliance
2. Take ownership of Compliance tasks assigned to you and deliver reliable
results
3. Draft high-level policies and standards for the business and ensure they
are updated in accordance with ongoing regulatory developments
including tracking of new regulatory and legislative requirements
4. Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory changes and provide
recommendations and advice to the Head of Compliance
5. Work with functional areas across the business to implement and enforce
policies, maintaining a compliance culture
6. Develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance training
programme
7. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic and
functional compliance and monitoring plans taking into account risk
management systems and controls. Assist with crisis management where
regulatory breaches have occurre
8. Represent the Compliance function with internal and external
9. stakeholders, including Legal, ERM, IT Security, external partners,
regulators and internal and external auditors. Support the Relationship
Management for all relevant regulators, such as BaFin and Bundesbank
10. Prepare annual reports and management information on key compliance
matters
11. Provide consultancy to the German business as required
12. Ensure all correspondence, websites, marketing material, and documents
comply with regulatory requirements before sign off to marketing is
provided

13. Good knowledge of relevant German laws, rules and regulations as appropriate to the card acquiring business.
14. Thorough knowledge of existing policies and guidelines and their relevance to the business.
15. Excellent written and verbal communication - both German and English.
