We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with practical experience in electrical engineering for our utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) starting from Q3 of the year. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance as part of O&M and act as the main contact person on-site. The primary focus of the position is in the Steinfurt district, North Rhine-Westphalia. We expect some willingness to travel, which we can discuss further in a personal conversation.
What you’ll be doing:
* Maintenance Execution/ Coordination: Conduct or coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for battery central inverters, battery system components, HV substations, and Balance of Plant (BESS), ensuring proper reporting
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures onsite, approving documentation before work begins
* Inventory & Tool Management: Manage spare parts inventory, logistics, and tools (including calibration and PPE) for maintenance activities
* Training & Knowledge Transfer: Train customers’ technical personnel on specific procedures, including health and safety protocols
* Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Report issues regularly to the Service Coordinator or Technical Asset Manager, providing feedback for continuous improvement
What you bring to the table:
* Technical Experience: Experience with electrical systems and industrial equipment, preferably in maintenance and field service
* PV & BESS Knowledge: Knowledge of PV and BESS technology, IT networks, SCADA, or medium-voltage technology is desirable
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
* Education & Expertise: Completed vocational training in the electrotechnical field.
* Language Skills: Excellent German and fluent English language skills
* Travel & Teamwork: Valid EU driver’s license, flexibility, willingness to travel, and the ability to work well in a team
