Summary of the position:
As Senior Project Manager Operation for Capex Projects you will ensure the successful implementation of Capex investment projects for the production of our Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device. As the central point of contact for the NPC organization you are responsible to lead and manage multiple local projects considering all internal and external manufacturing, equipment and building aspects.
Main tasks of the position:
● Responsible for achieving project goals, solving problems, and making decisions within guidelines and in line with project objectives
● Coordinating experts and specialists on site to ensure the most efficient and effective solutions for later manufacturing are incorporated into the planning of manufacturing facilities
● Developing project plans within a volatile environment and adapting it independently and proactively to changing requirements
● Calculating, managing and tracking the project budget and creating schedules and resource plans
● Acting as expert and contact person for our NPC organization and the engineering project team in CAPEX investment projects
● User responsible for the coordination and formal creation of user requirements including space, equipment and automation IT/OT concepts
● Together with the engineering project management, stakeholder relevant preparation and presentation of the investment projects to relevant stakeholders on different management levels (e.g. steering committees) specifically the user-side tasks
● Planning and managing the commissioning of new or converted buildings and facilities, including qualification of the operational start-up (Handover)
● Act as Project Lead role, as Leader in matrix according to the Roche leadership principles. Planning and managing the required internal and external project ressources in coordination with relevant interfaces (e.g. responsible functional line managers)
This is what you bring with you:
● Academic degree in engineering (process, production, mechanical, chemical)
● Several years of professional experience within capex project management in the production environment and proven experience in the technical guidance of teams
● Experience in a manufacturing environment for medical or pharmaceutical products. Experience in process and automation technology for manufacturing plants as well as lean management experience are a plus
● Strong business acumen and dedication to operational excellence
● Excellent communication on different Levels, ability to address challenges in an environment with divergent interest
● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and to align divers interests towards a common goal
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
● Fluent in German and English and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
● Proactive and self-motivated, and able to work independently and drive results
● Willingness to travel 30%
