Description This Opportunity Heitman’s Frankfurt office is seeking a n Associate or Senior Associate to join our Private Equity team. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, fluent in English and German, able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and have an interest in growing their career in Real Estate Investment. This position will also work on both new acquisitions as well as portfolio and asset management work streams. R esponsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the management a portfolio of real estate investments for various Heitman managed funds and separate accounts Assist in the underwriting and evaluation of European real estate acquisitions across strategies and asset classes, including operating business and listed vehicle transactions. Prepare presentation materials of investment opportunities for Investment Committee purposes. Assist in preparation of, and monitor, monthly and quarterly reporting as well as annual business plans for the assets under management. Contribute to the management of investments through their lifecycle, including preparing valuations/quarterly reports, cash flow projections, and budgeting analysis. Implement a long-term asset management strategy for a specific property type, including income and expense forecasting, leasing plan, capital budget, value creation activity and risk-return analysis for assets, perform hold/sell analyses. Provide support in the due diligence and closing phase of the transaction in conjunction with in-house and outside parties. Support and coordinate dispositions of assets from the portfolio as well as any financing of assets. Prepare financial analysis/modeling at portfolio/asset level. Review appraisals and valuations, support external valuation process. Qualifications : 1 to 3 years of work experience within real estate. Strong academic track record from tier one college or university, with a degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Real Estate preferred. Previous experience in the real estate corporate finance such as private equity, investment banking or as a corporate finance consultant within an accounting firm. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with outstanding organization skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
