The Finance Manager will further drive the strategic agenda of the finance organization within the company and will support the business proactively by providing financial leadership to the senior management team. The Finance Manager has a key role in continuously understanding the growth potential and current capabilities to facilitate decision making. Next to the obvious management responsibility for financial accounting, controlling (and management accounting), he or she makes the difference by looking broader and deeper to truly understand the business. A key objective for the future Finance Manager is to take full ownership of all finance and accounting activities for the business in the region, including internal control, regular reporting, and analysis. Additionally, it is expected that the Finance Manager will provide leadership to and develop the talent of the finance team, raising the bar of expectation. The Finance Manager will also play a proactive role in proposing improvements to the business model, both with existing and potential customers, as well as in leveraging European initiatives. The Finance Manager will report to the regional Director Central and will act as his deputy internally and externally. Skills & Requirements You lead, manage, and develop the finance function in the central region, incorporating sites in Germany as well as (sales) organizations in Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordics. You oversee the planning and control for the region, professionalize the business, and act as a sparring partner to the senior leadership team. You contribute to designing the strategic plan and ensure its execution. One major task will be professionalizing the controlling organization to a next level. You identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, including financial and business performance risks. You are responsible for the development and presentation of annual operating plans and monthly results to the senior leadership team and corporate functions. You collaborate closely with all finance managers in other regions. You manage accounting and tax, banking relations, contracts, working capital (inventory, etc.), reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal and external audit compliance, customer credit control, and collections. You actively contribute by bringing forward proposals that improve the business model, drive value with existing and potential customers, and explore opportunities at the European level. Experience 10 years of relevant experience in complex, multinational companies, ideally with international and regional responsibility. 5 years of financial responsibility for multiple profit centers. Strong leadership skills and proven ability to adapt leadership style to different situations and people as well as to a complex business structure of a portfolio of products. Experience in working and collaborating with a Senior Management Team.
