This position is located in Process Research, a department within Large Molecule Research, where we discover and develop novel therapeutic antibodies and next generation biologics. Our ambition is to deliver such molecules to patients with game-changing clinical benefits.
Job mission
We are offering an opportunity for a Senior/Principal Associate (m/f/d) in the Bioprocess Research Department to work with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and associates dedicated to the development of protein purification processes to deliver next-generation biotherapeutics to patients. This permanent position therefore offers the opportunity to interact with numerous functions within Roche to deliver novel medicines to patients.
Your impact
* Developing downstream processes to purify complex antibody-based biotherapeutics. These bioprocesses are applied to produce drug substance for toxicology studies and are the basis for production of clinical material.
* Supporting interdisciplinary teams, and collaborating with scientists from protein analytics, bioprocessing and data science in a cross-functional matrix. You closely interact and exchange with colleagues from late-stage development.
* Utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and workflows to deliver new potential medicines to patients.
* Presentation of data, internally and externally, as well as literature research.
Your profile
* Personally, you are enthusiastic about bioprocess development and motivated to achieve excellence. You are not afraid of breaking down barriers and exploring new paths forward.
* In addition, you appreciate the benefits of working in interdisciplinary, dynamic and diverse teams. You are a good communicator, open and curious, making sure your ideas and results are put on the table, and are happy to receive feedback and learn from it.
* Technically, you bring an apprenticeship as a laboratory technician with professional work experience in research or development, or a higher university degree (e.g. Bachelor or Master in natural science). Candidates with a PhD degree cannot be considered for this position.
* You are capable of developing purification processes of challenging and complex antibody-based therapeutics. This also implies that you are working independently in the lab. You are able to coordinate lab activities running in parallel with your colleagues. You have profound knowledge in protein analytics to run in-process control analytics.
* Besides, you are not afraid of data & digital topics, and are keen on using user-friendly IT applications to simplify data evaluation and reporting.
* Good English language skills (written and spoken) complete your profile.
Your final Scientific Career Ladder (SCL)-Title will be evaluated according to your individual scientific experience.
