As an Assistant Merchandise Planner, you are responsible for providing analytical insights that enable yourself, others in the team, and our partners to make decisions which improve the assortment for the customer and contribute to the unit's success. You are accountable for taking actions that directly impact the financial performance of your unit through the management of the stock and price management. You have an awareness of external market trends and developments that can impact your unit. To deliver your role you can confidently use all stock management, pricing and reporting tools, along with Excel and Google Suite. You produce detailed reports and analysis for weekly trade meetings and ad-hoc requests from your planning team. Be accountable for taking actions to ensure the unit reaches its seasonal financial targets. You take ownership of pricing topics, steering assortment according to product lifecycle and supply situation to maximise sales and profitability. You manage stock intake and replenishment into the business, provide insights on future deliveries, and are comfortable to flag any risks to your team. Clearly communicate key messages to your direct team and key stakeholders, e.g. Buying, Operations teams and external brand partners, to allow decisions to be made. You independently manage communication with your peers. Be able to foresee commercial and operational problems before they arise and take appropriate actions to resolve them. You make changes to existing processes in your unit that improve the efficiency of the team and also make suggestions to improve processes outside of your unit that benefit the organisation. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF Bachelor's degree, with experience working in merchandise planning or a commercially facing analytical role (ideally in retail or etail) with at least 1-year experience. Able to demonstrate an understanding of KPIs and what actions can be taken to impact the business. Motivated, structured, able to prioritise and positive in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment, embracing change and being always on the hunt for solutions. You exercise high levels of personal accountability and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve results. You have excellent English skills, communicate clearly with varied (internal and external) stakeholders, and possess solid negotiation skills. You love to work with numbers and figures & think strategically. You have experience with Google Suite and consider yourself an expert in Excel.
